For those of you who don’t know me that well, I am pretty shy. Creating this fitness website was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Not because the work was physically hard (because I LOVE helping people with health and fitness), but because it is hard for me to put myself out there.
My desire to help people outweighed the fear that I had, and I pressed forward. It is one of the most difficult and most rewarding things I have ever done! God has taught me so much through this experience, and I pray daily that Fitness by Faith will help people live healthier lives!
I had absolutely NO energy for so long in my life that I didn’t know what it felt like to feel good! I always felt like there was something wrong with me. Ever since creating a healthier lifestyle for myself, I feel like a COMPLETELY different person!
My hope and prayer is that you let go of your insecurities and thoughts of failure and just go for creating a healthier life! It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it! It might be outside of your comfort zone for some of you, but you will find that your life will begin again once you do! YOU CAN DO IT! I believe in you, and my life is living proof of this!
Just take one step at a time… you will find that you eventually will be further than you ever imagined:) I am here to help you as well:)

I am so excited to start the diet bet game on 6/16/14:) If you have really been needing accountability when it comes to losing weight, then try this! You’ve got 4 weeks to lose 4% of your starting weight. To begin, everyone puts money into the pot. After four weeks, whoever’s hit their 4% goal is a winner and splits the pot.

I know it won’t be easy, but it will be well worth it! So let’s get up and moving while eating clean!
If you are like me, then you have a lot of goals you would like to achieve in your life. The difficulty comes with following through on these goals. One of my secrets to creating and sticking with goals is making sure that my goals are realistic, and that I focus on one of the goals at a time.
I have a whole list of goals I eventually would like to make habits in my life. I work really hard at making one goal a habit, then I start with another goal until I have mastered that one as well. When I first started working out my goal was to workout 3 days a week. I wasn’t too worried about my weight since I knew that was only a number, and I was more focused on getting healthier. When I worked out faithfully 3 days each week for about 2 months, I then made my goal for 4 days a week and so on. Now I am to the point where working out is so much of a habit for me that I can’t wait for my workout each day! This is the point that is critical to get to when sticking with your goals.
Think about one goal you have wanted to make into a habit, but haven’t been able to yet. It might be working out, reading books, watching less TV, writing in a journal each day, reading the bible each day, eating more veggies and fruits, or tons of other things. Remember… just pick one!
Now put a plan into place that will help you implement this goal. If it is to read 2 books a month then try to think about how many pages you will have to read each day and each week to get you to your goal. This will give you something to measure to make sure you are on track of meeting your goal.
It is so important to remember to make these goals realistic as well. If you haven’t worked out most of your life and want to get back into it try to shoot for 3 or 4 days each week to start with. Then, as you continue on your journey and have mastered working out those days add more days on at that point.
It feels so good to set goals, to accomplish those goals, and to make them a part of your everyday life. I don’t know where I would be today if I would not have taken that first step of walking/working out 3 days a week to get my health back on track. I would not have the energy I need to get through each day, and I know my marriage and friendships would be suffering because of it. I thank God everyday for the gift of being able to work hard! Start thinking about what you want out of life and go get it! We won’t be around forever and you don’t want to live your life wishing instead of doing.
