30 Day Fitness Challenge- Day 30

Day 30– We are going to try incorporating most of our exercises from the past month.  It will take you anywhere from 20-35 minutes to complete.  See below to see the workout/challenge for today:)  This is the last day of the challenge so make sure you give it your all!

Do 2-3 times with a 15 second rest in-between each exercise.

1 Minute- Jumping Jacks

1 Minute- Shoulder Press

1 Minute- Squat Jumps

1 Minute- Bicep Curls

1 Minute- Star Jumps

1 Minute- Jump Rope

1 Minute- Pushups

1 Minute- Burpees

1 Minute- Plank

1 Minute- Skaters

1 Minute- Froggers

Congrats on completing the 30 Day Fitness Challenge!! You are amazing, and I am so proud of all the hard work that you put into this! I hope you learned a lot and saw some changes in your body. Keep your fitness/health journey going, and remember that you can do whatever you set your mind to!

Health Tip-  I met with a good friend today, and we started talking about health and how it looks to different people.  We all aren’t going to look like fitness models (ripped biceps and 6 pack abs), but that is okay!  We don’t all need to look like that in order to be fit and healthy.  We all have different body types, and we need to learn to be content with ourselves.  Make sure you are eating healthy, working out, and having a positive attitude in life.  Being fit for you might look differently than what a friend’s definition of “fit” means.  Be true to yourself first.  I know this might be difficult, but it is so important.  When we are happy with ourselves, then we treat our bodies better.  You are beautiful no matter what since you were made in God’s image, and please remember that as we move forward in our fitness journey together!

30 Day Fitness Challenge- Day 29

Day 29- Squat Jump Challenge, Tuck Jump Challenge, and Plank Challenge– We are going to do one more challenge before our last day!  We will do as many squat jumps as we can, then we will do as many tuck jumps as we possibly can.  See how many of each you can do without stopping.  Once you have done these, try seeing how long you can hold a plank without dropping to your knees.  Try holding it for at least one minute.  In one of my group fitness classes I had someone who held their plank for 3 minutes! If they could hold it for that long, then you can do at least a minute.  Try thinking about other things, and it will go by faster.  Try doing them a little each day, and eventually you too could hold it for 3 minutes as well!

Health Tip– Make sure to make time for yourself.  In this busy world, it seems selfish to take time for yourself, but you have to do it!  It not only is good for your health, but it will help you to be a better person.  Time for yourself can look different from person to person.  It doesn’t have to be a lot of time, but just enough to regroup from the pressures of life.  If you are feeling like you are at the breaking point, then take a deep breath and do something you enjoy for yourself.  You are worth it!

30 Day Fitness Challenge- Day 28

Day 28- Pushup Challenge and Burpee Challenge– Today we are going to see how far you have come since day 1 and 2.  You will be doing as many pushups as you can without stopping.  You can try this 2-3 times and see how high you can get!  Then, you will be doing as many burpees as you can do without stopping as well.  If you have stuck with this challenge, then you will be able to do more than you did in the beginning!  See the progress, and be encouraged!

 

Health Tip– Make sure you are doing a variety of exercises.  I am a big fan of bootcamp/HIIT workouts, but I try to mix it up as much as I can.  If I am doing the same things over and over again for a long period of time, I notice my body stops changing.  This is why it is so important to mix things up.  You can do a hot yoga class, do zumba, or just dance around your bedroom to your favorite song!  You can be creative, but just try to move your body in different ways, so it can constantly change.  I personally love trying new workouts!  What are some of your favorites?

30 Day Fitness Challenge- Day 27

Day 27- Switch Kicks, Tricep Kickbacks, Bicep Curls, Squat Jumps, and High Knees– Today we are going to do 1 minute of switch kicks, 1 minute of tricep kickbacks, 1 minute of bicep curls, 1 minute of squat jumps, then 1 minute of high knees.  If you need to rest for 15 seconds in-between each exercise that is fine.  Do these 3 times through!  Only a couple of more days!  Are you seeing your results yet?  Are you getting better?

Health Tip– Make sure you are listening to your body and are resting it if you need to.  I have been getting sick, so I have been trying to take it easy.  Don’t try to just cover up your symptoms, but instead try to figure out the source of the issue and take care of it at its root.  Instead of just taking medicine to cover up my sore throat, I am trying to rest, drink lots of water, and take the medicine needed to get better.  In today’s society it seems weak to take a sick day if you aren’t doubled over in pain, but sometimes if you take a sick day at the start of a “cold coming on,” you can stop it from getting to that point.  I would rather have a couple of days not feeling well, than one or two days of full blown, difficult to move sickness.

30 Day Fitness Challenge- Day 26

Day 26- 10 Minute Run– The weather is beautiful here!  So instead of doing what I had planned as today’s challenge, I want to challenge you to run hard for 10 minutes.  We did a 5 minute run/jog awhile back so we are doubling the time now!  If a run is just too difficult right now, then try a 10 minute jog instead.  You can do it!

Health Tip– Don’t keep yourself from indulging every once in awhile.  You need it sometimes to keep you on track.  If you have been doing really well with eating the right foods, it is okay to have one thing every once in awhile that you normally wouldn’t eat.  I know, for myself at least, I need to keep it to just one thing though.  If I eat another thing that day that doesn’t align with my eating goals, then I am thrown off for it seems like a couple of days.  So if you want to indulge, please do! Just make sure you don’t go overboard.  You are wonderfully made!
